'Antrim Grammar Style'

BBC News

Antrim Grammar Style recently hit the BBC and not before long, UTV and The Belfast Telegraph Online had articles of their own.

Here at Little Giant Films, we don’t like to blow our own trumpets – unless we have good reason to. But we have to admit, we were pretty chuffed to pick up a prestigious industry award this month for our tongue-in-cheek Antrim Grammar School music video, which became something of an internet sensation.

Our four minute film, inspired by South Korean pop-star Psy’s international hit Gangnam Style, scooped the gong for Best Viral at the Digital Advertising NI Awards, held at St Columb’s Hall in Derry. The video, featuring pupils and staff dancing and singing throughout the school building, was put together as a rather unconventional marketing ploy to entice new pupils to the school.

Within days of it being posted online, the film had attracted tens of thousands of hits and the numbers kept growing.

Obviously the Little Giant team was thrilled to win the Best Viral award at the DANIs, particularly as vitals can be notoriously difficult to execute. Our hard work over the two-day shoot paid off and we hope this is the first of many accolades we pick up along the way.
